I just had to ink up this fabulous Sassy stamp 'Team Spirit' again (love her!). As always, this Sugar Nellie can be purchased at Funky Kits.

I am so awful I didn't get time to make him a card! Infact we didn't do anything special at all, but we will hopefully be making up for it on holiday.

Right I'll say my goodbye's (again!), and I'll be here with a scheduled post for you on Tuesday (something a bit exciting happening!). Then back in the flesh in a week or so!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Gem Of A Challenge #28 ~ Sketch By Mandy...

Hi all! Many thanks for your comments this week. I've been trying to pop on the computer when I can and leave a few comms myself, but having all the kids home it's easier said then done. I roped them into helping me have a sort out this week...clothes and stuff. We filled 6 huge charity bags and still have more to do!
This week will be spent packing ready for our hols.

Anyway....to the point and all!... time for a new challenge over at A Gem Of A Challenge.
This time Mandy has this lovely sketch for us to follow (as always Janet has worked her magic and made it look all beautiful)...

I used one of the mega cute new releases ' Andy & Snowman', and coloured him with my Copics.
Don't forget to check out the other new releases and sentiments.
Also please check out the new Christmas digi papers over at Pink Gem Designs. I have used some on today's card. I have printed mine onto Papermill linen card.

My lacey Nesties are also Pink Gem Designs.
The Papermania flowers, mirri paper, ribbon, and brad are from my stash.
The sentiment is a Craftwork Cards one chopped in half with sticky nail heads attached.

Sugar Bowl...

Hi all. Just squeezing in a quickie this evening, my entry for the latest challenge under way at the Sugar Bowl. A fab sketch to follow (I flipped on it's side) plus the theme of 'blue'. Ok so I added pink too! How could I not use pink with sweet 'Verity'? You can grab her as a digi over at Funky Kits.

I really enjoy colouring these Sugar Nellie 'Adorables' stamps. For Verity I used my Copics. I actually coloured her a couple of weeks ago when we spent the weekend at my Mum & Dad's. I usually make a stock pile of my coloured images when visiting my Mum.

Ingredients;
Textured card,
Craft Concepts embossing folder,
Magnolia Heart Swirl die,
Martha Stewart border punch,
Seam binding which I have plaited,
Flowers & pins from stash,
Tulle roses ~ Joanna Sheen,
Bo Bunny brad.

Many thanks for popping by!

Hippie Love...

Hi all. a bit unusual for me to post on Sunday's these days, but had a little crafty time today and so here are the results.

I've used this fab 'Hippie Love' Simply Sassy stamp from Funky Kits. I've been dying to ink her up for ages!
I used my Copics, Copic Spica glitter pens & Stickles to colour her.

I started this card with the intention of following the theme of 'blue' and fab sketch over at the Sugar Bowl.
But got totally carried away, added LOTS of colours and kept adding bits....so can't enter it lol!

Other Ingredients;
'Walk In The Park' Echo Park papers,
'On The Edge' card blank,
Dew Drops
(all above from Crafty Emma's Store)
Flowers from stash,
Nesties (lots in stock at Pink Gem Designs),
Grosgrain ribbon (which I have plaited)
Bull dog clip,
Craftwork cards sentiment,
Prima pebble,
White corrugated card (from Paper2Go

I find corrugated card a bit expensive but I do love it! So was delighted when Janet (Pink Gem Designs) released a new digital paper kit yesterday called 'Corrugated Effect'. A much cheaper option at just £1.95. I have used the real thing on today's card but you can take a peek at the digital alternative HERE over at Pink Gem Designs.

Thanks so much for peeking. Enjoy the rest of your evenings.

CES Challenges ~ Mix 'n' Match!...

Good morning all! Well we're half way through the school hols here and it's gone so fast. So great not to have the mad morning rush....really enjoying it.

So time for a new challenge at CES Challenges!

Our lovely Julie's turn to choose a theme....and this week she would like us to....
 MIX 'N' MATCH!

So that means using papers from at least 2 different manufacturers.

So I thought it was time to ink up my new new stamp from the second 'Peekers' collection, by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD (from Quixotic Paperie). I used Copics & Stickles to colour this little sweetie.

Other Ingredients;
Authentique 'Journey' paper,
Echo Park 'Walk In The Park' paper,
Mini Blossoms,
6x6 card blank,
(All above from Crafty Emma's Store,)
Nestabilities Labels 20 ~ Pink Gem Designs,
Dark brown card,
Other flowers from stash,
Embossing folder,
Martha Stewart border punch,
Doodlebug alphabets,
Ribbon

This challenge would be a great way to use up some of those scraps maybe?
Please check out the other fab DT makes.
Thanks for stopping by!

Fab'n'Funky Challenge #85 ~ Christmas....

Hi all! A little sad today as it's the end of an era for me as I say goodbye to the lovely ladies at Fab'n'Funky (boo hooo!). I've had to make the hard decision to drop of couple of my challenge DT's as busy family life makes it so hard to keep up with all that DT commenting (especially with the school hols) so I also say a sad farewell to Sweet Stampin. Thanks so much ladies for having me!

So this is my final card for Fab'n'Funky for this weeks challenge.....

Monday 8 August 2011

Good Morning!...

Hi all. Just thought I'd pop on to thank you for all the fabulous and very kind comments you left me at the weekend. I appreciate everyone of them. I was away over the weekend stopping at my Mum & Dads with the kids (gives me a break and a change on scenery for the kids) my hubby works weekends. We take the laptop but not a very good connection...and my Son hogs it anyway! So just been having a catch up with you all. Apologies if I've missed you out. I'll do some more tonight. I'll leave you with a peek of just one of the fab new digital Christmas paper kits Janet has just released over at Pink Gem Designs....

Have a great week!

CES Challenges #48 ~ Water It!...

Hellooo! I'm back with my CES Challenges DT card!
(Please scroll down for my 'A Gem Of A Challenge' DT post.)

So Caroline has chosen a fab theme for us this week....

''WATER IT''

I used the fabulous 'Molly' from DigiStamp Boutique. She is part of the 'Molly & Tom Summer Fun' set...and for a limited time only there is 20% off all digis!

I 'out of the boxed' her and coloured her using Copics & Stickles.

The very summery papers are Echo Park downloads printed onto Papermill linen card. But you can buy various Echo Park pads from Crafty Emma's Store, along with the Craftwork Cards Top Notch card blank, sentiment & card candi.

I also used;
Papermill dark brown card,
Lacey ovals Nestabilities (Pink Gem Designs),
Hydrangeas (WOC),
Wooden leaves (Quixotic Paperie),
Martha Stewart border punch,
Ribbon

Just a little tip to share before I go. To obtain perfect matting & laying when using these Craftwork Cards 'Top Notch' card blanks, I keep the front of one aside and use it as a template.....

Pop your mat underneath, square up and use a pencil to mark out each corner....

Carefully cut.....

Then repeat with the rest of your mats.....

Perfect matting and layering!

Many thanks for stopping by!
